Social Lock Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Social Lock, from CF Digital LLC, does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data.

  • No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. The app has no servers and sends nothing to its developer.
  • Your logins stay on your device. When you sign in to a site inside Social Lock, that site's cookies are stored by iOS on your iPhone, the same as in Safari. Settings → "Sign out of all sites" deletes them.
  • Your free app choice is saved in your iCloud. If you use the free version, the app you picked and when you picked it are kept in your own iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage), so your choice carries over if you reinstall or use another device. Only you and Apple can see it; the developer can't.
  • Time checks. When you switch your free app, Social Lock asks apple.com for the current time. Nothing about you or your settings is included in that request.
  • Purchases are handled by Apple. Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock go through the App Store. Social Lock only learns whether Pro is active, never your payment details.
  • Filtering happens on your device. Social Lock hides content on pages after they load. It doesn't read, record or send your posts, messages or browsing history anywhere.
  • Location, only if you add one to an Instagram post. When you tag a place on a post, Social Lock asks for your location (with your permission) to suggest places nearby, and sends it to Instagram for that search and with the post, as Instagram’s own app does. It’s never sent to the developer or stored by Social Lock.
  • The sites you visit (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) collect data under their own privacy policies, just as they would in a normal browser.
